About
About Mr Matthew Hubble.
Mr Matthew Hubble is a consultant hip surgeon based in Exeter, the home of the hip tradition from which the SPAIRE muscle-sparing approach grew. He offers SPAIRE where it suits the patient, alongside a broad hip-replacement practice.
He has particular expertise in complex and revision hip replacement, reworking previous replacements, and was among the first surgeons in the UK trained in robotic-assisted hip surgery, a technique he now teaches on national courses.
His research background includes work on the long-term outcomes of hip replacement and the use of bone grafts in revision surgery. Whether SPAIRE is right for you is decided case by case, after examination and imaging.
